The ZEW Basic 1600 and 1600-M wall inlets are designed for poultry and pig farmers who want precise, energy-efficient control of their fresh-air intake.
The inlets’ wavy frame shape and integrated air inlet nozzle help maximize air volume and throwing range, resulting in better climate control, lower energy use, and more comfortable animals.
Each inlet is made of rigid polyurethane foam for thermal insulation, with pre-molded slots for optional accessories like a bird protection grid or deflector sheet. Mounting is quick, and the system integrates easily with most modern livestock house walls.

The curved frame contour improves throw distance and airflow pattern, particularly effective in minimum ventilation mode – keeping fresh air flowing without turbulence or cold drafts.
Differentiated airflow option
The 1600-M model features a two-part airflow guide that directs air both above and into the animal zone, reducing summer heat stress by pushing cooler air where it’s needed most.
Built-in air inlet nozzle
An integrated nozzle increases air velocity and volume, improving throw distance while reducing backpressure on the system. That means more airflow with less energy.
Anti-icing design
A drip edge and bottom sealing flap work together to prevent freezing at the flap joint, even during cold, high-humidity conditions – helping protect your ventilation system year-round.
